About product

Maintaining balance and digestive comfort

A blend of active enzymes derived from naturally fermented plant polysaccharides, combined with bromelain, curcuma powder and ginger extract.

Advantages:
 •  Specially selected enzymes to facilitate digestion of a wide range of nutrients, capable of functioning at various pH levels.
 •  Aspergillus oryzae is a species of fungus, renowned as one of the primary flavor components in Japanese cuisine, namely soy sauce and miso. Used solely as a starter and not included in the final product, thereby avoiding the risk of allergic reactions.
 •  Plant components (curcuma, ginger, bromelain) contribute to the normalization of the digestive process.
 •  Does not contain any animal ingredients.

What are enzymes and why do we need them?

Enzymes are special organic molecules that ensure (and often accelerate) metabolic processes in our body. The use of enzymes as supplements to support daily digestion traces its origins to the early decades of the 20th century. Initially, this concept stemmed from their widespread occurrence in raw foods. Food processing, such as refining and cooking, inactivates these compounds, making the food less susceptible to breakdown by the digestive enzymes in the gastrointestinal tract. Problems can also arise if there is a dysfunction in enzyme production or if the demand exceeds availability:
– Due to genetic predisposition;
– During periods of illness or trauma;
– In the case of food allergies;
– With excessive exercise or chronic stress;
– As the body ages.

When digestive enzymes are deficient, the body cannot fully break down food. Nutrients are not absorbed efficiently, even with a healthy and balanced diet. An imbalance in the digestive system often leads to abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, weight changes, heartburn and reflux.

Proper enzymatic digestion is breaking down food and its components to provide energy and nutrients to the cells, including essential vitamins and minerals, which is crucial for maintaining good health.

Essence of Botanics. Ginger, Curcuma & Plant Enzymes helps support the natural activity of digestive enzymes, aiding in the digestion of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, lactose from dairy products, and hard-to-digest fiber from vegetables.

The formula contains:

  • Amylase (26 mg) and glucoamylase (12 mg)
    Involved in the breakdown of dextrins and starch into oligosaccharides. Essential for the metabolism of carbohydrates, starches, and sugars, primarily found in plant-based foods such as potatoes, fruits, vegetables, cereals and others.
  • Cellulase (13 mg)
    Aids in the digestion of high-fiber foods that may cause gas, such as broccoli, asparagus and beans.
  • Pectinase (2,3 mg)
    Plays a crucial role in breaking down pectin, a substance abundant in many plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables and berries.
  • Lipase (1,6 mg)
    Involved in the breakdown of fats, aiding in the conversion of fats and triglycerides into fatty acids. Beneficial when consuming foods rich in fats such as nuts, butter, eggs, meat and dairy products.
  • Protease (11 mg)
    Activates the breakdown of proteins into smaller polypeptides or individual amino acids. Necessary for digesting plant and animal proteins and preventing the accumulation of unnecessary proteins.
  • Lactase (19 mg)
    Promotes the more efficient breakdown of milk sugar (lactose) into its two components, glucose and galactose. Assists in the digestion of milk and dairy products, such as kefir, sour cream, cottage cheese, cheese and butter.
  • Bromelain (100 mg)
    A concentrated blend of proteolytic enzymes (protease, peptidase) extracted from fresh pineapple fruit and its branches. Aids in the breakdown and absorption of proteins, activates other enzymes and enhances digestion. The main foods that bromelain helps digest: Meat, fish, grains (wheat, rice), dishes with soy proteins.
  • Curcuma powder (300 mg)
    Contributes to the normalization of the digestive process. Stimulates bile secretion, aiding in the digestion of fatty foods. Reduces gas. Exhibits an antioxidant effect.
  • Ginger extract (100 mg)
    Improves digestion, normalizes carbohydrate metabolism, reduces nausea and activates the immune system.
